HIV Testing, Treatment & Support—At No Cost to You

Open Door Health is a Ryan White HIV Care Center.

The Ryan White program is a safety net program to finance medical services for uninsured or underinsured people living with HIV. We provide care free of charge to uninsured and underinsured persons who are HIV positive. Our team of HIV care experts provides compassionate care to all persons. We offer HIV testing, HIV care, and patient navigation services for HIV-positive persons. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or have been living with HIV for a long time, we offer care that’s affirming and personalized for you. We provide HIV screening, education, and connection to treatment, as well as primary care for people living with HIV.

What to know about HIV

  • HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system. If HIV is not treated, a person’s immune system can become compromised.
  • HIV is spread through sexual contact, sharing needles to inject drugs, and during pregnancy or through breastfeeding.
  • With proper treatment and advances in medicine, HIV rarely advances.
  • HIV treatment reduces the amount of virus in the blood
  • Taking your HIV medicine as prescribed prevents drug resistance
  • HIV treatment prevents the transmission of HIV to others
  • Virtually no chance of contracting HIV
  • We offer both antiretroviral therapy and navigation services to people living with HIV. We can also help connect you to community resources and primary care support.

What does U=U Mean?

  • People who are on antiretroviral therapy and have an “undetectable” viral load have a normal life expectancy and are “untransmittable” (U=U), which means they cannot transmit HIV to their partners.

  • We offer both antiretroviral therapy and navigation services to people living with HIV. We can also help connect you to community resources and primary care support.
